Jammy Fingers (0-7)
Jammy Fingers is All Hallows’ Sunday group aimed especially at children aged 7 and under (school year 2 and below).
The group runs during the 10.00am Eucharist on Sunday morning.
The children leave the service after the first hymn and meet in the Chapel for worship with songs and prayers, shared with the older children from JAM.
The JAM children leave after the songs and prayers and Jammy Fingers children stay in the chapel for a bible story. The story or reading will be relevant to the lectionary for that week in church, and presented in a way that is suitable for very young children. This will often include role play and games.
The Jammy Fingers children will then often go over to the Long Room at the back of the Church Hall and will make a craft activity relevant to that week’s topic.
The Jammy Fingers children rejoin the congregation towards the end of the cervice in time for Holy Communion. There is usually an opportunity before the service ends for the children to present the work they have been doing to the congregation.
We warmly welcome all children including babies and toddlers to come and join us.
